Training Duties in Belgium

In Belgium, every employer must give workers sufficient and appropriate information and training on safety and health at work. The duty comes from the Law of 4 August 1996 on the well-being of workers and the Code on well-being at work (Codex over het welzijn op het werk / Code du bien-être au travail), which implement the EU Framework Directive 89/391/EEC.

This online course covers general workplace safety principles, not tied to one country's legislation. It does not replace the workplace-specific instruction your employer or prevention adviser (preventieadviseur / conseiller en prévention) gives you.
